DECLARATION OF SUPPORT

  1. We recognise that our employees are contributing to national defence through national service. A strong defence is necessary for a stable business environment. We hereby declare our organisation’s support for our employees in their national service activities.

MOBILISATION

  1. All NSmen shall update the administrator with their mobilisation codeword which shall be published in the company directory.
  1. During office hours, the administrator shall inform the NSmen concerned on any activation of the mobilisation codeword.
  1. All NSmen are to report immediately back to their units upon being notified.

DEFERMENT

  1. All NSmen shall update the company on receipt of their ICT work plans so that provisions can be made.
  1. We shall ensure that all available options are exhausted before any request for deferment would be filed by the company.

PHYSICAL FITNESS

  1. NSmen are encouraged to keep themselves fit through regular workouts. NSmen would be granted time off to participate in compulsory government physical fitness related activity or programme.
  1. NSmen who received monetary incentives from the defense forces for their IPPT shall be similarly awarded 50% of the monetary incentives by the company.

RECOGNITION OF NATIONAL SERVICE

  1. Feedbacks from Mindef and MHA on outstanding performances of NSmen shall be recorded in their personal files. Such feedbacks shall be brought up during the monthly staff meetings and shall be recognised by the company.
  1. Newly recruited employees who have completed their full-time National Service would be given an extra $100 in recognition of their contributions to National Service. This entitlement shall be included in the starting salary of the qualified employee.
  1. NS employees who demonstrate outstanding performance during their NS stay will be rewarded with a reward package not exceeding $500.

SAF/SAFRA ACTIVITIES

  1. NSmen are encouraged to participate in cohesion – building programme organized jointly by SAF/SPF/SCDF/SAFRA/SPANS.

Worklife Policy


Shingda Construction Pte Ltd is committed to the betterment of family life for all her staff in the belief that a well balanced family life will enhance the productivity of its staff and ultimately bring in benefits for the company. The company has enrolled as a Corporate Family Life Ambassador (FLA), firmly supporting its polices and programs, which aims to enable its staff to achieve effective work-life balance and excel in their work responsibilities. Hence, all employees are encouraged to attend FLA programs organized by the company. Staffs are welcome to give feedback and suggestions to the Work-Life Co-ordinator on matters relating to Work-Life issues to enhance the Work-Life programs and practices.
